Chapter 5: Screen Acting

Audience usually judge a movie on the acting.
Actors have a persona that they take from movie to movie.
When actors go against their persona it is a surprise to the audience and some times makes a movie better.
Some actors don't have a persona and audiences find it hard to know if it is the actor in the movie.

An actor on screen uses many different technics to portray there message.
An actor might say a line 5 different times and it is up for the editor to pick the line that represents the message the best.
An editor might edit two scenes together to make a total new scene to get across message in the best way possible.
The editor has great power over how the audience sees the film by taking out and putting in shots.
